Dr. Greek has been practicing veterinary medicine in the Yorba Linda community for over 10 years, and currently practices at Yorba Linda Veterinary Hospital as their medical director.

Speaker/Volunteer

A noted speaker and writer on exotic pet topics, Greek is a contributing author to Reptile magazine and is often quoted in numerous lifestyle magazines. He is also a popular speaker at veterinary conferences and herpetological societies. One of his favorite activities is to speak at local high schools and organizations about his passion for veterinary medicine, and to encourage children to pursue their dreams. “It’s my goal to make sure I consistently share with students that by trying hard, staying focused and getting good grade, you can achieve your goals,” he said.

As a volunteer at the Oak Canyon Nature Center, in Anaheim Hills, Greek assists in the treatment of their wildlife. He also speaks annually at their Summer Nature Nights event and brings all sorts of critters owned by one of his clients who is a major supplier of animals for the hit television show, Fear Factor.

Background

A devoted husband and pet owner, Greek and his wife share their home with two dogs, five tortoises, and 40 reptiles and exotic pets.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, School of Veterinary Medicine, he has completed externships at Lincoln Park Zoo, in Chicago, IL; Laboratory Animal Medicine Research at UC Berkeley, CA; the Central Florida Zoo and Gatorland, FL; and the Crane Foundation, WI.
